An Insider’s Look at What’s New in Diversity and Inclusion in Healthcare

Diversity is the richness in human differences. Inclusion is the active engagement with diversity in which the diverse experiences that each person brings are valued and cherished. Together they create an optimum environment for work and education, and are critically important in the health care setting given the diversity of patients that we serve.

Join Jefferson alumni for an online discussion led by Bernie Lopez, MD ‘86, Associate Dean for Diversity and Community Engagement at SKMC and Associate Provost for Diversity and Inclusion at Thomas Jefferson University. Dr. Lopez will explore the importance of promoting a culture of respect, dignity and inclusion, and how knowledge and skills in cultural sensitivity and humility are critical to ensuring that optimum health care is delivered. He will discuss the efforts currently underway at Jefferson, as well as, the recent history, growth and future vision for diversity and inclusion in healthcare.

No matter where you are, you can participate in the program via your personal computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone, from the comfort of your home or office.
