Many medical conditions from the head to the throat require pharmaceutical care. This CE presentation will focus on treatment of ear and nose conditions such as otitis media, otitis externa, nasal polyps and pharyngitis, and then conclude with oral conditions such as lichen planus, aphthous ulcers, oral mucositis and burning mouth. Oral mucositis is a widespread and potentially serious consequence of high-dose chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Symptoms include altered taste, mouth sores, and varying degrees of pain. Treatment is mainly supportive, involving both non-pharmacologic and pharmacologic methods. The last 15 minutes of this session will be non-CE allowing the participants to learn about successful patient cases resulting from treatment with LoxaSperse™ and MucoLox™.
