About the Presenter: Since 1984, Gwen Volk has assisted owners, agents, and on-site managers in navigating the complexities of programs that provide housing for low and moderate income families. Her experience includes 16 years as VP and CEO for a Midwest affordable housing owner/agent and 13 years as compliance director for a Texas-based firm overseeing LIHTC, tax-exempt bond, HOME, Section 8, and 223(f) compliance for more than 50 properties in 11 states. Through Gwen Volk INFOCUS, Inc., she has provided training and consulting in 28 states. Gwen holds the CPM, NAHP-e, SHCM, HCCP, CPO, FHC and RAM designations. She is a past president of Rocky AHMA and has been active in NAHMA since 1990, having twice served on the board of directors. Gwen currently chairs NAHMA’s Fair Housing Committee, is Vice-Chair of the SCHM Advisory Committee, and serves on the Certification Review Board. She has served on IREM’s Federal Housing Advisory Board since 2009. Gwen is experienced in providing face-to-face and web-based training, and is known to be a dynamic, informative and entertaining speaker.
