To Be Covered

The first and most important step in weed management is the proper identification of the weed. Extension Educators Ruth Benner and Sandy Feather will lead a two hour outdoor weed identification walk through the cemetery.

This workshop will provide resources on weed identification, cover important weed families and highlight critical species that are concerning to Pennsylvania green industry professionals.

We will look at native and invasive species of weeds in various places in the cemetery including lawns, streams, sidewalks, ornamental plantings, parking lots, and roadside areas. Management of the weeds with IPM and herbicides will be discussed.
