CSA is well aware that sometimes it’s necessary to strengthen the skills we apply in the professional world. Technology is a moving target, and CSA is ready to go the distance with its members in developing those skills. CSA Academy helps bring success to that effort.
At CSA Academy, we strive and enable a knowledgeable, strong community of utility professionals by expanding opportunities to learn, to connect and to explore ideas. Our mission is guided by key values:
Our course presentations are offered in a variety of ways. Most courses are provided via face-to-face learning. Expand your working knowledge, gain new job tools and - in some instances - earn continuing professional education credits while you network with other utility professionals. The Academy offers a variety of face-to-face classes to enhance your skill set and help advance your career now and in the future.
CSA Academy provides several webinar-based sessions to empower members with information from the comfort of their utility. These targeted programs provide comprehensive training and resource materials to enable staff to apply the knowledge immediately.
The Academy is also committed to the development of its members by providing annual User’s Conferences for learning, dialogue and sharing of opinions and experiences. These conferences are software-specific and provide the latest in program updates, how-to’s, and documentation. User input at these sessions is a key factor in future development.
CSA has been certified by the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a provider of continuing education, and has been placed on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. This certification allows CSA to certify many of its “CSA Academy” and user conference classes for Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits.
As a part of the program, students desiring to receive credit through CSA’s sponsorship will be required to sign affidavits of attendance or sign into and out of the class (for single classes offering more than three hours of credit.) They will also be required to complete a short survey and indicate that they want credit for class attendance. Provided the attendee meets these requirements, a certificate of completion will be mailed out following, or in some cases provided at the conclusion of the class.
