This program will discuss WHY a General or Pediatric Dentist should incorporate orthodontics into his/her practice, WHO to learn orthodontics from, WHAT to treat and WHEN to refer to an orthodontic specialist. Dr. Litt will present the fundamental principles of Craniofacial Growth and Development and their CLINICAL Applications. Current controversies in orthodontics today and the role of "clear aligners" in clinical practice will be discussed.

Course Instructor: Dr. Richard A. Litt

Dr. Litt received his D.D.S. degree from the University of Detroit, and his Masters degree and certificate in Orthodontics from Northwestern University.  Dr. Litt was Professor and Chairman of the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Detroit from 1969-80, and Clinical Professor and Director of Postdoctoral Orthodontics at the University of California, San Francisco from 1980-86.

A course in Comprehensive Orthodontics will also be offered for those who would like to continue their learning process and gain the essential skills required to treat to the standard of care set by the orthodontic specialty. This two-part, eight day, course will be held February 2-5, 2017 and March 2-5, 2017 at the Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort in Rancho Mirage, CA. Visit for more information.
