Shade trees are a long-lived investment. They provide a calm and peaceful environment while increasing the property value of your home. Shade trees attract birds and other wildlife, lower energy costs, improve water quality by reducing runoff and erosion.

To Be Covered 

This six-hour course is designed to teach the identification and usage of thirty five deciduous shade trees that are hardy in Erie, Pennsylvania. For each plant we will discuss physical morphology, site requirements, landscape value, as well as any common insect pests or disease.

All participants will receive a full-color identification manual on shade trees.
