How do we design and facilitate effective workshops that engage all learners? This interactive online course is designed for educators at all levels interested in more effective implementation of workshop model instruction. Across twelve weeks, we will explore workshop’s purpose and design, as well as strategies for facilitation. After reading numerous authors’ thinking and viewing videos from lab classrooms, participants will be guided through a process of planning their own workshops that work. This course is organized into six modules; each module includes a welcome, some interactive direct instruction, choice readings, media and invitations to respond, class discussions, as well as an application task designed bring this practice to life in your instruction. Your facilitators will regularly respond to your work on the online learning management system, there to push your thinking and cheer you on. Click here for Course Overview
