While digital technology has revolutionized photography, it has also made it more difficult than ever for photographers to establish working relationships with modeling agencies. With the current abundance of photographers, modeling agents are exponentially more selective about the photographers they use and the types of images that they use in their models' portfolios.Having worked with nearly every modeling agency in Los Angeles, Charles Lucima has developed a 1-day workshop to breakdown the process of Working with Modeling Agencies.
• Photographers building their portfolios and trying to create working relationships with modeling agencies (particularly in the competitive LA environment).• Photographers trying to improve their existing body of work with more agency-represented models. • Photographers seeking to build paid relationships with modeling agencies. This is a special event that will also feature insight from agency models and will highlight many of the lighting setups and post-processing techniques that Lucima employs for his own work.
• Since good models are paramount to getting "the shot" Lucima will provide experienced agency-represented models for the workshop. • Photographers will be learning/shooting on-the-fly. Lucima utilizes constant dialogue and "time-behind-the-camera" for photographers to gain hands-on experience while learning conceptual techniques/knowledge. • The workshop is capped at 15 photographers for more one-on-one learning. • One-on-one time with models is also critical to the learning process. At the workshop you'll have plenty of time to work with models. There will be at most 3-5 photographers per model.
