The conference was a wonderful, highly informative and very enlightening in many aspects. The keynote speaker was by far one of the best speakers I have listened to. I really enjoyed the opportunity to visit with other non-profits during the lunch break. There was lots of involvement from the large audience that attended the event. I found out some areas we could improve in, and other areas where we are doing very well. - 2016 Participant
Central Washington Conference for the Greater Good
Strong Nonprofits Delivering on Their Mission
April 19, 2017
Yakima Convention Center
You care about the missions of the nonprofits in your community. You want these organizations to survive and thrive and make a difference here and in the world beyond. Yet there are barriers getting in the way of their success. They have to raise funds, rally their boards, and recruit volunteers. And often they feel like they are doing this all alone. The Central Washington Conference for the Greater Good creates the space in which nonprofit leaders and volunteers learn, connect, and are inspired.
When Leadership Requires Fundraising 7 Things to know to raise more money
Do you know what you need to know to raise more money? Or, do you just know that you need to raise more money?
Leaders of truly effective nonprofit organizations simply must be able to raise money to support their mission. But where are they supposed to learn? Learn on April 19th! By the end of the day, you will know how to assess your own capabilities with reference to seven critical factors for effective fundraising.
Come learn from Peter Drury, well loved as a teacher and leader who has dedicated his life to helping grow a more powerful, effective, and healthy nonprofit sector. Peter distills lessons learned directly from philanthropists, executives, board members, volunteers ~ and fundraisers who have tried everything under the sun! This interactive session will leave you better prepared and much inspired.

He is Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations at Seattle Children’s, teaches at the University of Washington and Seattle University (nonprofit leadership, strategy & fundraising courses) and is Past President of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Washington State Chapter.
