Instructional Designer Certificate Program

In this series of four sessions an Instructional Designer(ID) will be able to mentor faculty and other ID's as well as apply practical application of instructional design principles, use instructional design skills that are currently in high demand on campuses, and gain experience in working directly with faculty.

Course 1: Helping Faculty with New Course Development
Date: April 30 - May 27, 2012

Course 2: Creating Useful Resources for Faculty
Date: Tentative, July 9 - August 5, 2012

Course 3: Training Faculty; Strategy, Presentation and Follow-up
Date: Tentative, September 10 - October 7, 2012

Course 4: Professional Foundations; Researching and Networking
Date: Tentative, October 29 - November 28, 2012
(Not currently taking registrations)

Prerequisite: Understanding of the basic features of a Learning Management System (LMS)

Program Completion Requirements: A certificate is earned after the completion of each course and upon completion of all four sessions an advanced certificate is earned.  Sessions do not have to be taken in order and/or can be taken as a single Professional Development activity. In addition, no more than 2 sessions can be taken simultaneously.
