Investment and Development in the Land of OZ
(Opportunity Zones)

Developers, sponsors, investors, municipalities, and policy makers across sectors are focused on unlocking the value of the federal Qualified Opportunity Zone programs. The program was intended to foster economic revitalization and promote sustainable economic growth in less developed areas by providing significant income tax incentives to investors. Understanding those tax incentives, the remaining challenges, and the contemplated initiatives is critical to realizing the full benefits of that program.

Join in our discussion to learn:

  • What are the key provisions of the Opportunity Zone program?
  • What investments are eligible?
  • How do OZs fit with municipal economic development strategies?
  • What are municipalities located in OZs doing, and what additional incentives might be available?
  • What is the developer's perspective on available programs and remaining challenges?
