Definition:
AJAX | An acronym for Asynchronous JavaScript and XML referring to a universal group of integrated web development techniques used for constructing interactive web applications. The primary function of AJAX is to increase the responsiveness, speed, usability and functionality of web pages by exchanging small amounts of data with the server so that selected segments of the page can be updated based upon the activity of the user. In other words, the user will not have to refresh the page every time they perform a new action. Cvent uses AJAX to improve its user interface.
