GUADALEST

Guadalest is a small mountain village located on a crag, from which visitors can appreciate the views over the reservoir and the Mediterranean Sea. It is the third most visited spot in Spain, alongside the Prado Museum in Madrid and the Alhambra in Granada. Guadalest Castle is a fortress of the eleventh century and has played an important role due to its strategic location. Part of it was destroyed by numerous attacks and two earthquakes in the XV and XVI century. The castle belonged to many spanish families among which we can point out the family Sarria. Moreover, the town has several museums which display fom Christmas nativity scenes to micro-giant and of course passing by regional crafts sculptures.

BALLOON RIDE

Drift off and enjoy this exciting experience by flying across the sky in a hot-air balloon, observing the fascinating landscapes of the south of Alicante from up a height. The silhouette of the coast, the fertile orchards of the Vega Baja area, and the wetlands of El Hondo are just some of the landscapes to be seen from high above, 500 metres.

ALTEA

Located on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, Altea belongs to the region of the Marina Baixa and Its name comes from the Greek word “Althaia” and means “I heal” or from the Arabic word “Attaláya”. It is a 20 minutes driving from Asia Gardens. The city has an extension of 32 Km² with a lot of alterations in its landscape over the past years. It was conquered by the Romans and Muslims and used day in day out as a tranding and commercial area. It still conserves the entrance gates from whem the city was fortified. We recommend taking a walk along its pedestrian streets of the old part of town, in wich you could contemplate the bohemian atmosphere along its white painted constructions, small shops and pleasants restaurants.
