Located just four miles from downtown Anchorage, the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport is Alaska's premiere gateway. With approximately 280 flights arriving daily, Ted Stevens International sees more than five million passengers each year.

Ted Stevens features both North and South passenger terminals. The South Terminal is home to the 447,200-square-foot Concourse C. Completed in 2004, the concourse accommodates nine jet gates leased by Alaska Airlines along with several new restaurants and retail shops. Designed with a high-tech aviation theme, the concourse features high ceilings, skylights and glass walls that provide scenic views of the Chugach Mountain Range to the east and the Alaska Mountain Range to the west.

Municipality of Anchorage People Mover Bus

The Municipality of Anchorage manages a People Mover Bus that operates 14 routes. Buses service several stops between the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport and popular downtown destinations.


Several shuttle bus companies provide service from the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport to area hotels and attractions. Many shuttle bus companies are also available to take visitors from area hotels to popular destinations outside the city such as Denali National Park, Girdwood, Seward and Whittier.

Rental Cars

Rental car counters can be found in the Rental Car Center inside Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport across from the South Terminal. The rental desks are pedestrian accessible, and a free shuttle bus travels between the Rental Car Center and both terminals approximately every 15 minutes as well.


Taxi cab service is available from both terminals at the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. Taxis line up outside the baggage claim at the South Terminal and outside the main lobby at the North Terminal.
