Aurora, CO Meeting Planning Overview

The city of Aurora, Colorado, serves as the gateway to the Rockies and a fantastic meeting destination. Located close to the mountains and within 30 minutes of Denver International Airport (one of the country's busiest), as well as the intersection of Interstates 70 and 225, Aurora is easily accessed by meeting travelers. It also features a number of group event spaces for gatherings of all sizes.

Opened in 2018, the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center is the city's premier meeting and event center, featuring more than 485,000 square feet of flexible event space. Groups can gather in four ballrooms that vary in size from 8,000 to nearly 60,000 square feet, as well as 81 breakout rooms and five outdoor spaces. The hotel's rustic, alpine-style charm complements its more than 1,500 well-appointed sleeping rooms, onsite dining options, shopping, indoor and outdoor water complexes, and much more.

In addition to the Gaylord, Aurora is home to a number of unique venues for events. Stanley Marketplace, a historic aviation factory turned bustling market, houses more than 50 local businesses, restaurants, and retailers. Hold an outdoor event by the sparking Aurora Reservoir, with its rentable shelters and Rocky Mountain backdrop. Engage in fun team-building at the Spider Monkey indoor trampoline park or along 27 miles of horseback riding trails with 12 Mile Stables. When it's time to unwind, enjoy plenty of dining, shopping, and entertainment in such Aurora hot spots as the Southlands outdoor lifestyle center and On Havana Street, a 5-mile stretch of ethnic eateries and shops.
