The Bay County Historical Society has been preserving the unique and rich history of Bay County, Michigan since 1919. The Society takes home in the former National Guard Armory, at 321 Washington Avenue, Bay City, Michigan. The Society holds extensive archives and artifacts some of these date back to the Pioneer Society organized in the 1870's, which preserved information about the settlement of the area. The pioneer society became inactive as the original pioneer members died in the late 1800's.
