One of 11 sites in Switzerland. With its 6 km of arcades, Bern has one of Europe's longest covered shopping promenades. Well over 100 fountains with drinkable water adorn Bern. In the old town eleven of these still bear the original statues with their eye-catching figures. UNESCO guided tours can be organized by the local tourist office.
