Casselberry, FL Meeting Planning Overview

Casselberry's convenient location to Winter Park and the University of Central Florida has attracted many new residents in recent years, as well as visitors who want easy access to eco-tourism opportunities in Seminole County. Although Casselberry event venues primarily serve a residential market, a variety of world cuisine and proximity to Orlando's attractions may interest planners.

Casselberry is located 10 miles from downtown Orlando, 19 miles from the Orlando International Airport, 11 miles from Orlando Sanford International Airport, 24 miles from the Orange County Convention Center and 26 miles from Walt Disney World. It is intersected by two major roadways, U.S. Highway 17-92 and State Road 436.

Hotel venues in Casselberry are limited; top options include the 144-unit Suburban Extended Stay North and 75-room Days Inn North Casselberry. For more choice, Altamonte Springs, a rapidly growing commuter community 3 miles west of Casselberry, has several medium-sized national chain hotels with meeting space.

Variety, however, is the theme of off-site, special events venues in Casselberry, which include Click Billiards, a sports bar and pool available for private parties; the Crystal Ballroom, a popular wedding reception facility that can also host business conferences and parties; and the Country Club at Deer Run, where receptions for up to 150 guests are accommodated.

For a reprieve from meetings, Secret Lake Park, a neighborhood park with a recreation center appointed with an outdoor deck, computer room and billiards room, as well as canoe and kayak rentals, lake fishing and a basketball court, is a popular possibility. Eight miles south of Casselberry is Winter Park, the quaint, New England-style village with boutique shopping and superb restaurants. The University of Central Florida, situated 11 miles east of Casselberry, offers a variety sports and theater events ideal for group outings. A wide variety of excellent ethnic restaurants are located in Casselberry, where you can find great Italian, Cuban, Indian, Greek, Mexican and Chinese options. Other unique dining possibilities include the Colorado Fondue Company and Hibachi Express.
