Baoguang ('Divine Light') Temple, located in Xindu County, is 18 kilometers (11 miles) away from Chengdu City. The temple acquired its name from the emperor Xizong of Tang Dynasty (618-907) when he saw the divine light coming form the bottom part of the temple one night. Legend also tells how monks at the temple found 13 Shelizi (Buddhist relics), crystal and bright. Today, its storied history, splendid architecture, majestic sculptures, peaceful environment and plenty of guest services, have made Baoguang Temple a popular destination for travelers from China and abroad.

As the world’s famous giant panda ex situ conservation base, scientific research and breeding base, public education base and educational tourism base, the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding (hereinafter referred as the Base), located at No. 1375 Outer North Panda Avenue, Chenghua District of Chengdu, Sichuan Province and covering an area of about 247 acres, is 10 kilometers from downtown Chengdu and about 30 kilometers from Shuangliu International Airport. The Base, as the “giant panda ex situ conservation ecological demonstration project”, is famous for the protection and breeding of endangered wild animals that are unique to China, including giant pandas and red pandas. Southwest Petroleum University (SWPU), the second petroleum university in the People's Republic of China, was founded in 1958, andis now administered and supported by Chinese central government and Sichuan province local government, with the latter playing a biggerrole. SWPU has 16 schools, 1 Photo voltaic Industry and Technology Research Institute, 1 Institute of New Energy and UnconventionalOil and Gas, and 1 engineering training center. Founded firstly as the Sichuan Provincial Experimental School of Theatre ﹠Music in the autumn of 1939, Sichuan Conservatory of Music(SCCM) has changed into its present name in June 1959. Currently, SCCM has become a higher education institution for its comprehensive art subjects, excellent teaching staff, well-equipped teaching facilities and distinguished teaching achievements. SCCM has a beautiful environment with rich artistic atmosphere. It has over 400 professors and associate professors with a student body of over 14,000.
