Metra Commuter Service

Chicago Northwest is served by two lines of the Metra Commuter Service – the Union Pacific Northwest and the Milwaukee District West – which run to and from downtown Chicago. Union Pacific Northwest arrives at the Ogilvie Transportation Center at Madison and Canal streets, while Milwaukee District West arrives at Chicago union Station, also on Canal but between Adams St. and Jackson Blvd. Group rates are available for a group of 25 or more; also, a small group of adults travelling together can save 20 percent using a 10-ride ticket.

PACE Suburban Bus Service

One of the largest bus services in North America, PACE Suburban serves tens of thousands of daily riders and covers 3,500 square miles. The system's 193 fixed bus routes provide daily service to downtown Chicago and its suburbs, including the Chicago Northwest - Woodfield area and direct access to the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel and Convention Center. Regular one way fare is $1.75 for adults and $0.85 for children ages 7 to 11; children under age 7 ride free. Passengers may purchase seven-day passes for $28 and 10-ride passes for $17.50.

Schaumburg Trolley

Part of the PACE Suburban Bus Service, the Schaumburg Trolley provides free service on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays along PACE Route 905. Passengers can ride the trolley directly the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel and Convention Center and PACE Northwest Transportation Center, as well as access many shopping destinations.
