The Denver Tech Center (called DTC by the locals) is a combination of Greenwood Village, Centennial, Englewood, Littleton and parts of Denver. It is the headquarters address for Arrow Electronics, Inc., Sprint, Cable Labs, Clear Channel, DHL Express, Dow Jones & Company, Inc., EchoStar Communications, Boeing, JP Morgan, Kraft, Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, Nissan Motor Corporation, Oracle Corp., Red Robin, Starz Entertainment, Time Warner Cable, and Wachovia Securities – all of which keep Denver Tech Center venues busy.
Located on the I-25 and I-225 corridor, DTC is 20 minutes southeast of downtown and just 30 minutes from DEN. For private business travelers, planners can coordinate through the nearby Centennial Airport.
Luxurious Denver event venues can be found at the Tech Center such as the 302-room Inverness Hotel and Conference Center, where planners will first note the amazing views of the Colorado Rockies. The Inverness has more than 60,000 square feet of event space, including 43 breakout rooms and a selection of outdoor event venues. Certified by the International Association of Conference Centers, the Inverness Hotel offers its signature meeting planner packages. Green-conscious planners can settle into the Inverness' more than 150 sustainable initiative implemented since 2007. Planners can also take full advantage of on-site amenities: full service spa; 18-hole golf course, five multi-cuisine restaurants and boutique shops.
Other equally impressive meeting space in Denver can be found at the Denver Marriott Tech, another green-conscious property. The Denver Marriott Tech Center boasts 42,000 square feet of meeting space, including the more than 12,000 square feet at its Rocky Mountain Event Center. Nearby, the Hyatt Regency Tech Center brings to the meeting table more than just 30,000 square feet of function space, including the Highlands Amphitheater, with executive leather chairs and desks, accommodating up to 75 working attendees. Its top floor meeting space, Centennial, is available for events up to 300 attendees and features a view of the Rocky Mountain Front Range and downtown Denver skyline.
Meeting groups can also enjoy numerous award-winning restaurants in the Tech Center, many with private dining space. Planners can choose from a wide array of cuisine, including group favorites Maggiano's Little Italy DTC, Las Brisas Restaurant, McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurant DTC, and Fleming's Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar.
Suggestions: Book a DTC meeting event at The Great Northern's Caboose or Sidecar Rooms, and enjoy a restaurant journey of the Great Northern Railroad across the upper U.S. Or incorporate on-site night life after dinner by holding an event at Cool River Cafe.
