Nestled on a sun terrace between the mountains and above the scenic Rhine Gorge, Flims Laax Falera is one of the largest continuous skiing areas in the Alps, as well as a summertime outdoor playground and a multi-cultural destination.

Flims Laax Falera is located in Graubuenden, Switzerland's top-ranked holiday destination and a thriving sports recreation canton. As the country's largest canton, Graubuenden spans 7,100 square kilometers of mountainous terrain and enjoys its status as the only Swiss region under the influence of three cultures and languages, including German, Romansh, and Italian. Flims Laax Falera sits within a 20-minute drive of the capital city of Chur, a 90-minute drive from Zurich, and less than six miles from the A 13 motorway. Films Laax Falera is also 83 miles from Zurich Airport, Switzerland's largest airport and the principal hub of Swiss International Air Lines. Situated within a 10-minute walk of the Flims-Waldhaus parking area, Lake Cauma is surrounded by woodland on three sides and features a public beach and restaurant open during the summer months. Falera is home to Parc La Mutta, a megalithic place of worship. Parc La Mutta features 34 standing stones erected in the Middle Bronze Age, which were used in worship and as a way to calculate the calendar. Graubuenden is the country's largest canton and its most sparsely populated, home to not quite 192,000 inhabitants compared to 7.8 million inhabitants in all of Switzerland. Once perceived as a hostile and inaccessible mountain landscape, Graubuenden has become a thriving sports and recreation location thanks to its road network improvements and new findings on the healing nature of a mountain climate and mineral springs.

One of the largest continuous skiing areas in the Alps, Flims Laax Falera features 220 kilometers of slopes, 28 modern ski facilities, and four snow-guaranteed descents; in fact, 70 percent of its slopes are 2,000 to 3,000 meters above sea level. Flims Laax Salera also features cross-country skiing and sledding, a world-class curling facility, ski and snowboard schools, and Europe's largest half pipe. Summertime in Flims Laax Falera turns the region into an outdoor playground, thanks to its 250 kilometers of marked hiking trails, 330 kilometers of marked mountain bike routes, mountain lake swimming, climbing, paragliding, river rafting, canyoning, and golf at the 18-hole Buna Vista Golf Sagogn. Located in Laax at the base station, Freestyle Academy is Europe's first indoor freestyle hall, and welcomes adventure-seekers to practice jumps and tricks and make landings in a large foam pit. The region offers brewery and village tours, as well as horse-drawn carriage rides, wine tasting, and other activities.

Flims Laax Falera cultural venues include Local Museum Laax, which showcases more than 2,200 local cultural objects and a film on the development of Laax. The Yellow House in Flims is known for its architecture and award-winning exhibitions. Flims Classical Summer incorporates three festivals with different artistic hallmarks and programs in its variety of concerts held in and around Flims, with outdoor concerts, concerts in the historic St. Remigius church, and shows in the Art Nouveau ballroom of the Waldhaus Flims Mountain Resort & Spa.

Grandis Ustria da Vin is a wine store and restaurant in one, situated next to the lower ski lift station in Laax, while Tegia Larnags in Laax is a cozy, stylish hut perfect for enjoying fondue and Swiss specialties.
