Just over an hour from Austin and San Antonio and four hours from Houston or Dallas-Fort Worth, Fredericksburg’s central location in Texas makes it an ideal location to host your next meeting or retreat while staying in a relaxing small-town atmosphere. Fredericksburg is home to Texas Wine Country. With over 60 wineries, vineyards and tasting rooms in the area, visitors can sample the wide-array of varietals that the Lone Star State offers in picturesque vineyards and boutique tasting rooms. Fredericksburg’s Historic Main Street is home to more than 150 locally owned ships, boutiques and art galleries. Attendees will find everything from home décor, men’s and women’s fashion, jewelry, antiques, food items and more. Beyond the shopping and wine, Fredericksburg's rich heritage is evident in its museums and historic sites from the Pioneer Museum, which details the history of Fredericksburg’s earliest settlers to the National Museum of the Pacific War, and is dedicated to all of those that served in the Pacific Theater during World War II. Other nearby attractions include Enchanted Rock State Natural Area, which is the second largest batholith in the U.S. After a hike to the summit, take in 360-degree views of the Texas Hill Country from 425 feet. Wildseed Farms, the largest wildseed farm in the U.S. features acres of wildflowers that will be in various states of growth during a visit – some fields may be freshly planted, some in bloom, and some ready for harvest. A typical wildflower season runs mid-March through mid-May. Live music fans, head to Luckenbach Texas, established in 1849 as a trading post and made internationally famous by country western performers Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings. Live Texas music can be heard daily in the bar or under the old oak trees, with weekend dances and concerts in the historic dance hall. With unique meeting venues at wineries, historic sites and boutique hotels, Fredericksburg will provide something far from an ordinary meeting.
