Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL)

The Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport in Delhi is just 10kms away from Gurugram. As the busiest airport in India, IGI Airport handles about 50 million passengers annually. The airport has two main terminals: Terminal 1 which operates domestic flights of Go Air, Indigo and Spicejet; and Terminal 3 which operates both domestic and international flights. The airport has endless options for shopping, relaxing and dining for travelers. Passengers will enjoy the eclectic mix of bookstores, cafes, gift shops, travel outfitters, liquor stores, designer brands, and restaurants at the airport. IGI is well-connected with Delhi NCR, and offers various excellent means of transportation to and from the city via buses, metro rail and cabs.

Northern Railways

The Gurugram railway station, operated by Northern Railway of Indian Railways, forms part of the Indian railways network. Trains running from this station connect Gurugram to Delhi and other important Indian cities like Mumbai, Kolkata, Ahmadabad and Jaipur. Some of the important trains that run from here include the Ajmer Hazrat Nizamuddin Jan Shatabdi Express, the Swarna Jayanti Rajdhani Express, and the Bhagat Ki Kothi - Kamakhya Express.

Rapid Metro Rail

Rapid Metro is a fully-elevated rapid transit system in Gurugram, which connects areas in and around Cyber City, DLF Phase 2, DLF Phase 3, NH-8, and Golf Course Road up to Sector 55-56. The metro also offers shuttle services at some of its important metro stations. Rapid Metro is also connected to Delhi's metro rail network via Sikanderpur Station.


For people wanting to travel within the city, Haryana Roadways runs its Haryana Uday CNG bus service from Gurugram's main bus terminus in Sector 12. Haryana Roadways also provides bus services to and from Gurugram, connecting the city to all parts of Haryana as well as to important destinations in the neighboring states.

Taxis and Car services

Several cab operators offer services from the IGI airport to Gurugram. The operators include Mega Cabs (located at T3 International Airport arrivals), Easy Cabs (located at T1C Domestic Arrival Terminal), and Meru Cabs (located at Radio Taxi stand outside Terminal 3 arrival hall). One can also book a cab via OLA or Uber for getting around in the city.
