Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex

The premiere meeting center in Harrisburg, the Pennsylvania State Farm Show Complex and Expo Center is one of the East Coast's largest meeting venues. Though its name reflects the agricultural shows that made the complex famous, its numerous spaces have expanded to host a wide range for events, from private meetings to car shows. In fact, the complex hosts about 200 events each year, which in the past have included the All-American Dairy Show, PA Green Expo and Keystone International Livestock Exposition.

The complex consists of 26 acres of arenas and exhibition space under one roof, or an impressive total of one million square feet. Spaces range from the grand 172,000-square-foot Exhibition Hall to the 4,000-square-foot Sale Arena, which can seat 1,800 people. Other spaces include: the 146,527-square-foot Main Hall; 39,200-square-foot Equine Arena; 55,410-square-foot North Hall; 54,714-square-foot North West hall; 38,600-square-foot North East Hall; 37,607-square-foot West Hall; 28,000-square-foot Large Arena; 21,000-square-foot Large Arena Concourse; and 17,310-square-foot Lower Spine. The Equine Barn also has 124 stalls. Spaces can be divided, combined and customized for any event, and several meeting rooms and boardrooms are also available.

High-speed wireless Internet is available throughout the complex for a small fee. The well-reputed Boston Culinary Group provides on-site catering. Parking is available at the on-site North Lot for most shows. For event larger events, the off-site Elmerten Avenue Lot has boasts 29 acres of space.

Harrisburg International Airport is a one-terminal facility located in the southeast portion of the city in Middletown. Remodeled and expanded in 2004, the airport is the United States' first multi-modal airport terminal complex to have been conceived and built since September 11, 2001. As Pennsylvania's 3rd busiest airport, it provides non-stop service to over 100 domestic locations and cities in Canada. One-stop service is offered to a number of cities across the globe.

While waiting for flights, passengers can enjoy wide range of food and beverage services. Casual options at the second-floor food court include McDonald's and Hershey's Ice Cream, while the Varsity Grill & Sports Bar offers a full-service option. For those interested in last-minute gifts, the Perfectly Pennsylvania gift store is located just beyond security. Additionally, members of the frequent flier Susquehanna Club can relax in a private lounge in Concourse A, complete with televisions, computers and a fax machine. Free wireless Internet access and Internet kiosks are located throughout the terminal.

Perhaps the airport's most impressive amenity is the four-story Multi-Modal Transportation facility, which handles all ground transportation. Passengers can access it through the comfortable, climate-controlled Skybridge that connects passengers to the terminal. The top three levels of this facility have room for more than 2,500 cars, and the first level is for limos, taxis, hotel shuttles, buses and a rental car lot. A daily parking garage and a long-term lot are available. Daily maximums are $15 for short-term parking and $5 for long-term parking with a $30 weekly maximum.
