The George R. Brown Convention Center opened on September 26, 1987 on the east side of Downtown Houston, Texas, United States. The sleek 100-foot (30 m) high red-white-and-blue building replaced the obsolete Albert Thomas Convention Center.
The Convention Center is 1,800,000 square feet and has an exhibition space of 853,500 square feet. It also offers 105 meeting rooms. With the new improvements, the George R. Brown Convention Center is one of the 10 largest in the nation.

Memorial City Mall is a large shopping mall in Memorial, Houston, Texas, United States, at the intersection of Interstate 10 and Gessner Road, adjacent to the large Memorial Hermann medical complex.
