More

The George R. Brown Convention Center is Houston’s premier meeting space. As one of the largest convention facilities in the country, the GRB focuses on convenience and accessibility for meeting planners by “stacking” breakout rooms, registration space and exhibit halls on three levels. Located in the heart and hustle and bustle of downtown, the GRB is across the street from Discovery Green park and a short walk from the GreenStreet entertainment and retail hub, Minute Maid Park, Toyota Center and Shell Energy Stadium. The GRB is attached to two of Houston's finest hotels — the 1,200-room Hilton Americas, Houston’s largest hotel and the 1,000-room Marriott Marquis. The Marriott is attached to a 2,000-space garage that also connects to the GRB. The garage also allows for buses to enter and unload convention-goers. Nearby, a number of lodging options abound in addition to the convention headquarters hotels. An Embassy Suites is only one block away and an additional handful of hotels, covering all price points, are either in place or under construction within comfortable walking distance of 3-4 blocks. The GRB also includes a focal point entrance that showcasing a grand lobby space opening up to the third floor with large glass walls. The glass wall allows sun light into the center sections of levels two and three and gives guests and visitors unimpeded views the downtown skyline as well as the activity, color and urban feel of neighboring Discovery Green park.
