The Bear Hotel, Hungerford is one of the oldest and most historic Inns in England and is reputed to date back to the 13th Century. Hungerford is a charming market town in the heart of The North Wessex Downs, which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and only 15 minutes from the M4. Refurbished in November 2013, The Bear is full of character and has its own Island, known as Bear Island. All 39 bedrooms are ensuite, some of which do have balconies which overlook Bear Island. The Bear also has its own self-contained function site for 80 guest, perfect for weddings and special occasions.
