Bağdat Avenue is a notable high street located on the Anatolian side of Istanbul, Turkey. The street runs approximately 14 km (8.7 mi) from east to west in the Maltepe and Kadıköy districts, almost parallel to the coastline of the Sea of Marmara. It is a main street in an upper-scale residential area. The one-way avenue with old plane trees is flanked with shopping malls, department stores, fashion garment stores, elegant shops offering world famous brands, restaurants of international and local cuisine, pubs and cafes, luxury car dealers and bank agencies. Bağdat Avenue can also be considered as a large open-air shopping mall. Most of the retail stores are open on all days of the week, including Sunday afternoon.

Ülker Sports Arena is a multi-purpose indoor arena located in Ataşehir, Istanbul. The arena with an audience capacity of 13,800-seats, hosts beside national and international sports events such as basketball, volleyball, wrestling and weightlifting, concerts and congresses, fast-food cafeterias and restaurants. The arena covers an area of approximately 55,000 m2 (590,000 sq ft) and is one of major arenas of the city.

During the summer months the Princes’ Islands are popular destinations for day trips from Istanbul. As there is no traffic on the Islands, the only transport being horse and cart, they are incredibly peaceful compared with the city of Istanbul. They are just a short ferry ride from Istanbul, with ferries departing from Bostancı, Kartal and Maltepe on the Asian side, and from Kabataş on the European side.

Sabiha Gökçen International Airport is one of the two international airports serving İstanbul, Turkey. The facility is named after Sabiha Gökçen, the first female combat pilot in the world. Located 35 km (22 mi) southeast of central İstanbul, it is on the Asian side of the bi-continental city. SAW's international terminal capacity was 3 million passengers per year and the domestic terminal capacity was 0.5 million passengers per year.

The Maiden's Tower, also known as Leander's Tower (Tower of Leandros) since the medieval Byzantine period, is a tower lying on a small islet located at the southern entrance of the Bosphorus strait 200 m (220 yd) from the coast of Üsküdar in Istanbul, Turkey. There are many legends about the construction of the tower and its location. There is a restaurant in the first floor and a café at the top of the tower.

Palladium Shopping Center located in Ataşehir, is the modern and big shopping mall on the Asian part of Istanbul, Turkey. The shopping complex has 190 department stores, a supermarket, movie theaters, fast food restaurants, cafeterias and entertainment center.

The fortress is situated on the Asian shore of the Bosphorus, the sole outlet of the Black Sea, and it was built by Sultan Bayezid in 1390-91. Next to it there is a stream running into the sea. Together with the Rumeli Fortress on the opposite side, it ensured full control over the traffic in the Bosphorus. This small fortress creates a picturesque scene with the old wooden houses leaning on its walls and its green surroundings. The Kanhca district, a little further up the Bosphorus, is famous for its seaside cafes and yogurt. The Asian towers of the Fatih Bridge rises in this district.
