Additional Information

Founding a hotel in a heirloom location on the edge of the Thar Desert presents a unique challenge. While being freed of the trappings of gharana or lineage, such an endeavour runs the risk of appearing unfettered as it abandons the anchor of heritage. This is where the desert holds the key. In choosing to depart from a conventional interpretation, WelcomHotel Jodhpur does not aspire to be a palace, haveli or gharana. What is does aspire is to be the mystique of a Desert Rose. The Desert has many lessons. It is boundless. It knows no title. Its sands shift with time. Its travelers are not limited to a single cast, creed or religion. And it cannot be claimed by kings and conquerors. The desert holds its own. It lives by its own rules and has its own bewitching beauty. WelcomHotel Jodhpur draws from the oasis of the desert and from the timelessness of the colors and traditions of all that is Rajasthan. Not limiting itself to any ideology or thought - but to the mosaic of what we call, the idea and magic of India.
