Located in the southwestern corner of the state, Joplin is part of the fourth-largest metro area in Missouri. Though it's known in the region as a charming small town popular with visitors for both work and play, Joplin was most recently seen in the headlines following a devastating tornado that struck the town in May 2011. Persevering through the destruction and loss, Joplin residents wasted no time in rebuilding their home. Today, the landscape may have changed, but the unrelenting spirit of Joplin has not. New and resuscitated Joplin event venues welcome conference groups and tourists with open arms.
Groups can fly into Joplin though Joplin Regional Airport, which is served by American Airlines.
