Hong Kong International Airport (HKG)

Located on the island of Chek Lap Kok, Hong Kong International Airport is the primary airport in Hong Kong and serves Kowloon as well. This two-terminal airport operates flights to about 190 locations worldwide, including 42 destinations on the Chinese Mainland. HKG airport is well-connected with the city center by trains, buses, taxis, as well as high-speed ferries. The airport features over 380 retail shops (both in restricted and non-restricted areas) and 90 catering outlets. Terminal 2 also has a UA IMAX Theater, Dream Come True Education Park, and GreenLive Air shopping mall.

Mass Transit Railway (MTR)

The Mass Transit Railway system is an easy and efficient way to get around Hong Kong and enjoy its world-class attractions. MTR covers all major districts in the territory, including stops at the boundary with Mainland China (Lo Wu Station and Lok Ma Chau Station). MTR's high-speed Airport Express is quickest way to get between the city and the airport. Airport Express passengers can also take advantage of the free shuttle bus from Kowloon and Hong Kong stations to major hotels. A prepaid Octopus Card can be used on most forms of public transport. They can be bought at any MTR station, and topped up at MTR stations and convenience stores.

Buses & Minibuses

There are plentiful of air-conditioned and comfortable buses in Kowloon. Relatively fast, buses are an indispensable form of transport to places not reachable by the MTR or after midnight. There are Minibuses also that carry approximately 16 people. Fares are based on distance travelled and exact change is required if paying by cash. Octopus cards are accepted on all buses in Hong Kong.

Relatively cheap metered Taxis are available all across Kowloon. Air-conditioned and clean, Taxis in Kowloon are colour-coded according to their operating areas. Taxis offer a fast and flexible way to and from Hong Kong International Airport and can be hailed from the Taxi Station outside the Arrivals Hall.

Rental Cars

Car rentals are available in Kowloon from top big brands. Ace, Alamo, Avis, Budget, Europcar, Economy, and many other companies offer car rental facilities.
