One of Asia's major air travel hubs and Malaysia's largest international airport, Kuala Lumpur International Airport sits in the Sepang District, about 40 miles outside of the city center. Passenger amenities include plenty of shopping and dining options, as well as a viewing gallery, children's play area and themed lounges, as well as direct access to Express Rail Link service.
Kuala Lumpur Light Rail Transit (LRT)
A public rail transport service, LRT runs along two major route: The Kela Jaya and Ampant lines. Trains operate daily, with fares starting at RM1.
Operating among 11 stations over a distance of five miles, the KL Monorail runs between KL Sentral (the city's major transport hub) and Titiwangsa in the heart of the city. The monorail runs daily, with fares starting at RM1.20.
KLIA Express Train
Visitors can easily travel between the city center and the Kuala Lumpur International Airport via the KLIA Express train, which operates daily. The journey between the two destinations takes 30 minutes and costs RM35 for a one-way trip or RM70 for a round trip.
Kuala Lumpur International Airport features car rental counters for Kasina Baru, Hertz, Pantas, May-flower, Orix, Insas Pacific, and Avis.
Passengers traveling from Kuala Lumpur International Airport to Kuala Lumpur city center should ex-pect to pay approximately RM77 in taxi fare.
