Las Vegas' McCarran International Airport serves more than 41.8 million passengers annually with 110 aircraft gates in two separate terminal buildings - each with its own parking garage, ticketing/check-in area, and baggage claim. McCarran offers a variety of food and beverage options from sit-down restaurants to fast food courts. Slot machines located throughout both terminals, an aviation museum, spa, and unique artwork round out the list of amenities at this gateway airport.

Taxis

More than 10 taxi companies provide service to and from the airport and locations throughout Las Vegas. Taxi cab service is regulated by the Nevada Taxicab Authority, a State agency responsible for issuing medallions and setting fares.
Some taxis will not accept credit card payments. Customers should notify the attendant if they plan to use a credit card for payment.
There is a $2.00 charge on all fares originating at the airport.
The maximum number of passengers allowed in any taxi is five (5), including infants and children.

Terminal 1

Taxicabs are available on the east side of baggage claim, outside door exits 1 - 4. Airport personnel are available to help queue the lines and provide assistance as needed.

Terminal 3

At Terminal 3, taxis are conveniently located outside on Level Zero. There are 20 taxi loading positions on the on the west end of the building to serve domestic travelers and 10 loading positions on the east side of the building to accommodate international travelers. Quick exit lanes will allow traffic to leave the airport quickly and airport personnel are available to assist as needed.
Taxicabs are also available at the McCarran Rent-A-Car Center.

SHUTTLES

Group shuttles are an economical way to get from the airport to most major hotel/resorts. While en route, group shuttles make multiple stops at locations along the way.

If arrangements have been made in advance with a hotel/resort, the driver will meet travelers in baggage claim.

RENTAL CARS

The McCarran Rent-A-Car Center is just three miles from the airport with easy freeway access to Interstates 15 and 215 and the Las Vegas Strip. Car rental customers arriving at McCarran International Airport will be transported to their vehicles by dedicated McCarran Rent-A-Car Center shuttles.

Rental Car Pick Up from Terminal 1

Arriving car rental customers will be transported to their vehicles by dedicated McCarran Rent-A-Car Center shuttles for the three-mile trip to the Center and the car rental company of choice.
From Baggage Claim, follow the signs to Ground Transportation on Level 1. Proceed to the Rental Car Shuttle located at the center median outside doors 10 and 11.

Rental Car Pick up from Terminal 3

Courtesy McCarran Rent-A-Car Center shuttle buses depart approximately every five minutes for the three-mile trip to the Center and the car rental company of choice. Follow the signs to Ground Transportation from Baggage Claim on Level Zero. Proceed to the Rental Car Shuttle located outside west doors 51-54 and east doors 55-58.

BUS SERVICE

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) provides bus service to and from McCarran International Airport. For route information, please visit the RTC web site.

Terminal 1:

The bus stop at Terminal 1 is located on Level Zero. From baggage claim, take the elevator or escalator down one level. Exit the terminal building and proceed across the pedestrian crosswalk. Veer right to the covered RTC bus stop.

Terminal 3:

The RTC bus stop at Terminal 3 is located on the west end of Level Zero. Follow signs to Ground Transportation from Baggage Claim, exiting the terminal outside of doors 51-54, Veer left at the end of the building and follow the signs to the RTC bus stop.

Paratransit:

The RTC Paratransit Shuttle service is available by reservation at Terminals 1 and 3. The shuttle stops at Terminal 1 just outside the doors on Level Zero, and at Terminal 3 on Level Zero, outside door exit 55. To make a reservation visit the RTC website or call: 702.228.4800 / TDY 702.676.1834.

LAS VEGAS MONORAIL

Owned and operated by the Las Vegas Monorail Company, the Las Vegas Monorail runs a 4-mile route between the Sahara Hotel (towards the north end of the Strip) and the MGM Grand (towards the South). The Las Vegas Monorail provides a comfortable, quick and safe way to travel the length of the Las Vegas Strip.

The system is variably priced ($5.00 per single ride), fast and convenient. The 4-mile route is covered in about 14 minutes, and travels at speeds of 50 mph.

Along the way, travelers can get off/on at any of the seven stations that connect to world-famous hotels on the Las Vegas Strip.

Operation hours: 7 AM to 2 AM, Monday through Thursday; 7 AM to 3 AM Friday to Sunday; however, hours can be extended, depending on in-town events.
