Music and Congress Centre Situated next to the River Trave, opposite the Old City, one of the most spectacular buildings in Lübeck opened its doors in 1994 – the Music and Congress Centre. Designed by internationally renowned architect Meinhardt von Gerkan, the Centre combines a concert hall, a civic and congress hall as well as an exhibition centre. The Foyer Its multi-functional, daylight-flooded foyer, overlooking Lübeck`s historical Old City, offers 1650 m2. Its modern architecture is captivating and it is the state-of-the-art location for any event. The Concert Hall The concert hall is the heart of the Music and Congress Centre. It can be booked with tiered or parliamentary style seating. Up to 1,900 persons can be seated in rows, up to 900 persons can be seated in parliamentary style. State-of-the-art acoustics, media and projection technology makes this hall a unique venue. Conference and Seminar Rooms The MuK boasts two conference and eight seminar rooms, the size of which can be tailored according to individual requirements, ranging from 30-73 m2 and even bigger combinations, offering room for work shops or press conferences. In addition the 180 m2 big concert hall can also be used for events.
