Buses serve as the primary means of public transportation in Macau. Several bus companies operate throughout the city and between the Macao Peninsula, Taipa, and Coloane. Bus fares from from 3 MOP to 7 MOP depending on the distance traveled.
High-speed ferries shuttle passengers between Macau and Hong Kong, a journey of about one hour. The ferry runs daily and nightly, with boats leaving regularly.
