Graduate Madison

The Kohl Center, opened in 1998, is the home for the UW men's, and women's basketball teams, and the men's hockey teams. Since opening, the building has held up as one of the finest on-campus facilities in all of collegiate athletics. Areas specific to the UW programs were designed by the Wisconsin coaches with the programs in mind. From computers to lounge areas to audio/video systems, the Kohl Center provides everything under one roof. In addition to the competitive floor, the Kohl Center houses state-of-the-art practice facilities, the Fetzer Academic Center, athletic training and rehabilitation facilities, strength and conditioning training areas, newly remodeled locker rooms and coaching staff offices.

The Alliant Energy Center has multiple facilities onsite to fulfill a variety of event needs, which allows us to be one of the most versatile facilities in the area. Veterans Memorial Coliseum holds more than 10,000 visitors and is ideal for sporting events, large concerts, and entertainment productions. Exhibition Hall is our premier facility for conventions, meetings, banquets, and much more, consisting of 255,000 square feet of space. Willow Island is a wonderful outdoor venue situated right on our campus. This 29-acre natural space is surrounded by two ponds and is great for outdoor festivals, concerts, and other outdoor events. The New Holland Pavilions, totaling 290,000 square feet, make Alliant Energy Center an industry leader in agricultural shows. These multi-use buildings are also ideal for flat shows, trade shows, and more. The Arena suits a multitude of smaller events including trade shows, staged performances, and consumer events. This 22,000 square foot space is ideal for equine events and those taking advantage of the terrific show ring and grandstand seating.

Camp Randall Stadium is an outdoor stadium in Madison, Wisconsin, located on the University of Wisconsin–Madison campus. It has been the home of Wisconsin Badgers football since 1895, with a fully functioning stadium since 1917. The oldest and fifth largest stadium in the Big Ten Conference, Camp Randall is the 41st largest stadium in the world, with a seating capacity of 80,321.

The Wisconsin State Capitol, in Madison, Wisconsin, houses both chambers of the Wisconsin legislature along with the Wisconsin Supreme Court and the Office of the Governor.

Frank Lloyd Wright originally proposed a design for Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center in 1938. His architectural vision for the City of Madison—a curvilinear gathering place linking the shore of Lake Monona to the State Capitol—finally realized in 1997. A vision 59 years in the making.

Dane County Regional Airport is a civil-military airport located six miles northeast of downtown Madison, the capital of Wisconsin. In the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2019–2023, it is categorized as a small-hub primary commercial service facility. DCRA has three runways and in 2016 it served more than 1.8 million passengers. MSN serves American, Delta, Frontier and United. Sun Country will be starting service to DCRA soon. These airlines have non-stop flights to fifteen hubs with over 95 departures and arrivals daily to and from destinations such as Atlanta, New York City, Orlando, Salt Lake City, Washington DC, Charlotte, and San Francisco.
