Arabella Golf Resort

5 minutes away
Son Vida Golf: is Majorca's oldest golf course and is one of a clutch of golf courses which makes our sunny island a Mecca for golf enthusiasts from all over the world. Enjoy breathtaking views over the bay of Palma from the wide fairways whilst playing a round on the 18-hole championship course. The greens at this course offer a challenge for both beginners and more experienced golfers. The putting green and pitching area are integrated in the grounds. Enjoy teeing off into wide fairways with breathtaking views situated between tree-lined landscapes and stretching right out to the coast of Palma and heading through the gently undulating grounds with its four pools. The quick greens and water hazards at the 16th and 18th holes present formidable challenges that require a clever game strategy, yet this is a course that can be mastered by golfers of all handicaps. Son Muntaner golf: The modern golf course, designed by the architect Kurt Rossknecht, has been drawing players to its greens since 2000. The professional 18-hole golf course, which may be used by guests of the Castillo Hotel Son Vida, is also home to the Arabella Golf Academy. Instructors at the academy teach in German, English or Spanish and offer courses by the day or the hour. A putting green, pitching area and driving area are all available. There are also a club house with restaurant, a specialist golf equipment shop and large conference rooms (Sa Capitana and Sala Biblioteca) on-site. Son Quint Golf: The Son Quint golf course is a first-class hilly course that will undoubtedly thrill golf fans and inspire beginners to reach new golfing heights. Designed by Garden & Golf's Ramon Espinosa, the 18-hole golf course features two elongated ponds and stretches out into the midst of Majorca's spectacular landscape over an area of 6,200 square metres. Thanks to its hills, the course offers breathtaking views of the bustling area around Palma. Imagine playing the 8th hole in front of the backdrop of Palma's beautiful cathedral, whilst pine and olive trees form both obstacles and part of the beauty of the course.

Olivar Market

Historical landmark
7 km away
The Mercat d’Olivar is located at the historic city centre of Palma de Mallorca. Constructed in 1951, the bright building in the style of Mediterranean architecture is made up of two connected parts, which open up onto a square, much like two welcoming arms, that invite you to take a stroll and serve as a popular meeting point. After 47 years of bustling activity the Mercat de l’Olivar was restructured and transformed into a trading company. Traders are the merchants operating at the market. In 1998 the company obtained an administration license, which led to a thorough rearrangement that lasted until 2003. The fish, meat, fruit and vegetable guilds got reorganized and obtained their own areas, which are still interlinked, communicating the atmosphere of an airy and collaboratively well organised market hall.

The capital of the island ¨Palma de Mallorca¨

Historical landmark
15 minutes away
The utter majesty of Palma de Mallorca is almost impossible to overlook; it reigns over the entire island: from the majestic mountains, to the picturesque stone villages and the expansive landscape dotted with almond, orange and olive groves. The balmy climate ensures a holiday of endless possibilities the whole year round; whether it be relaxing on the beach, playing a round of golf, walking in the expansive natural landscape or simply strolling through the alleyways of the island's capital. Or there is always the option of savouring a romantic sunset on the beach or in a secluded bay, which are to be found all over the island. The charming holiday destination of Majorca also has more than its fair share of cultural offerings. Exclusive museums such as the Fundación Joan Miró and the Castel Bellver house priceless pieces of art. Equally, the imposing La Seu Cathedral, located right by the sea, is a real architectural highlight. From here, one is positively drawn into the winding alleyways of the city centre with its eccentric shops, chic bars and classy restaurants.

The Old Century Train to Sóller

Historical landmark
7 km away
The railway is characterized, amongst other things, by the fact that it is narrow gauge, the track width being 914 mm (an English yard), which is infrequent nowadays; moreover its rolling stock is extremely varied and meticulously finished, and maintained using traditional methods. The Sóller railway also stands out for the special, attractive route it runs along, overcoming the natural barrier of the Sierra de Alfàbia mountain range which is 2.8 km wide and 496 metres high. To do so, in just seven kilometres, the railway rises up 199 metres with an inclination of 23 millimetres, runs through thirteen longitudinal tunnels ranging in length from 33 to 2,876 metres, crosses over several bridges, the “cinc-ponts” viaduct which has five arches with spans 8 metres high and a great many bends, some with radii below 190 metres.
