University of South Alabama Mitchell Center

Meeting planners can expect a variety of accommodations at the Mitchell Center, starting with the 4,230-square-foot Globe Grand Lobby – home of the iconic, fully restored 12-foot Waterman Globe of the world as it was in the 1940s – with windows reaching up to 60 feet that flood the area with natural light. The 3,608-square-foot John Counts room is ideal for gatherings before, during, or after an event. Its location near the catering kitchen allows for easy setup and service for banquets, dinners, and meetings. Exhibit space on the arena floor is 18,080 square feet. Three classrooms on the event level can be used for sign-in, pre- and post-event activities, media, or speakers. There are 2,000 parking spots within a five-minute walk and an additional 2,000 within a ten-minute walk.
