Nassau, Bahamas Meeting Planning Overview

The capital of the Bahamas, Nassau is a bustling city bursting with culture, shopping, modern amenities, and plenty of tropical allure. It is located on the 21-mile-long island of New Providence, the most populous in the Bahamas. Nassau features a main harbor that once attracted pirates and is now protected by Paradise Island, which lies just north of downtown. Spanning 685 acres, Paradise Island is known for its resorts, hotels, restaurants, shops, nightlife, and entertainment. Getting to Nassau is easy, as visitors can fly into the city's Lynden Pindling International Airport, the main gateway to the Bahamas and the fourth-busiest airport in the Caribbean.

Meeting venues in Nassau and Paradise Island are largely found in the area's expansive resorts. The Baha Mar resort on Nassau's Cable Beach features 200,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space, as well as a nature sanctuary, more than 40 dining and nightlife options, three oceanfront hotels, an 18-hole golf course, a racquet club, a casino, and more. Located just across the bridge from Nassau, Atlantis Paradise Island Resort boasts 500,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space, including 50,000-square-foot and 25,000-square-foot ballrooms; 37 breakout rooms; five executive boardrooms; a dedicated conference center; and more than 20 unique outdoor venues. In addition to 21 restaurants and 19 bars and lounges, the property offers a 141-acre water park, a state-of-the-art dolphin habitat, an 18-hole golf course, a two-story spa, a casino, and much more.
