The Cyprus State Fairs Authority is a semi – government organization and is managed by a 9 – member Board of Directors which is appointed by the Council of Ministers every three years. It is located in Nicosia city of Cyprus. Cyprus through centuries has been the meeting place of populations and cultures. Since ancient years, it was an important commercial and transportation centre. The geographic position of the island rendered Cyprus a bridge among the three Continents. Thoughts and studies passed from various stages and final, in December 1968, were voted the Founding Law 93/68 for the constitution of the Cyprus State Fairs Authority. The mission of the Cyprus State Fairs Authority is the organization of International and local Exhibitions, aiming to contribute to the growth of the trade and to promote the exports of Cypriot Industrial Products. The facilities of the Cyprus State Fairs Authority cover a total area of 32,720 sq. meters of internal and open exhibition area. The internal exhibition space of the Authority are the pavilions from 1-10 and the Multiple Use Complex which has the two conference halls, Hall A and Hall B. Besides the exhibitions the Multiple Use Complex can host other type of events such as examination, conferences, product launch, wedding receptions etc. It is fully equipped with the latest audiovisual technology, meeting rooms, break – out rooms, translating services. It manages a total exhibition area of, 33720 sq.m. The exhibition area could be either internal exhibition space or external exhibition area. The Cyprus State Fairs Authority also has the Multiple Use Complex (MUC). The MUC mainly has two conference halls, Hall A and Hall B which can host different kind of events such as examinations, presentations, seminars, receptions etc. Besides the Internal Exhibition area, the Cyprus State Fairs Authority also has approximately 6400 sq.m that can be used as exterior exhibition area.
