Oceanside is a true SoCal beach town with a tangible laid-back vibe. The city boasts spectacular year-round weather, gorgeous beaches, an historic wooden pier, a quaint New England-style harbor, and charming bungalow neighborhoods. O'side (as locals affectionately call it) is a destination of discovery, where you can enjoy everything from awe-inspiring sea life and exciting ocean adventures to California history at the "King of Missions" and surf culture at the California Surf Museum.
A coastal community, Oceanside is easily accessed by car from Interstate 5 and the historic Coast Highway 101. The city can also be reached by rail with daily stops at the Oceanside Transit Center from Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner, which services cities between Santa Barbara and Oceanside. The Transit Center also is a central hub for three other rail lines: the Coaster, which operates a daily schedule between downtown San Diego and Oceanside; the Sprinter, which runs daily between Oceanside and Escondido to the east; and the Metrolink, which services eastern Orange County, San Bernardino, and Riverside.
Oceanside's state-of-the-art meeting facility, QLN Conference Center, encompasses 21,500 square feet of meeting and event space with seven breakout rooms. Additional Oceanside event facilities and venues range from beachfront hotels, historic theaters, and community centers to museums, gardens, and private estates. Oceanside is home to a wide range of lodging options as well.

Oceanside features a mild year-round climate perfect for the beach, with an annual high temperature of 66℉ and an annual low temperature of 54℉. With an average high of 73℉, August is Oceanside's warmest month, while January is its coldest, with an average low of 45℉. Oceanside sees about 10 inches of rainfall per year.
McClellan-Palomar Airport (CLD)
Oceanside is located just 15 minutes away from McClellan-Palomar Airport, which is in nearby Carls-bad. In addition to serving corporate aircraft, the airport offers daily connections from Los Angeles In-ternational Airport aboard United Express.
San Diego International Airport (SAN)
Serving nearly 500 daily flights with nonstop and connecting services around the world, San Diego In-ternational Airport is conveniently located about 45 minutes south of Oceanside. The airport features a number of shopping and dining options, as well as access to Amtrak service.
Downtown Oceanside is home to one of the main transport hubs for North County Transit, which pro-vides public transportation for North San Diego County via its Coaster commuter rail service, Sprinter light rail, Breeze bus system, Flex rural and on-demand service, and Lift paratransit service. The transit center is a hub for Coaster, which operates a daily schedule between downtown San Diego and Oceanside, and Sprinter, which runs daily between Oceanside and Escondido.
Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner runs along the coast, serving cities between Santa Barbara and Oceanside, with daily stops at the Oceanside Transit Center.
Metrolink offers Southern California train service from North San Diego, Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside, Ventura, and Orange County with a stop at the Oceanside Transit Center, making it easy to explore the entire region.
