Oviedo is a human-scale city where corners full of history can be found and a simple stroll enjoyed along its pedestrian streets that are now a nationwide and international point of reference. Oviedo, capital of the Principality of Asturias, is located in its central zone and count at the present time with more of 218,000 inhabitants. The streets known as Calle de Santa Ana y Mon and Transito de Santa Barbara and the Plaza de Trascorrales, Plaza del Ayuntamiento, Plaza del Sol and Plaza de Porlier squares, the latter home to the sculpture that Urculo dedicated to travellers, are some of the places that must be visited and that you should not leave Oviedo without seeing.
