Parsippany, NJ Meeting Planning Overview

Planners looking to create a vibrant meeting mix should conisder the meeting and event venues in Parsippany. This Northern New Jersey town boasts a wealth of restaurants and venues amid quaint neighborhoods; nearby luxury resorts and golf courses; and, of course, proximity to New York City.

Parsippany is located just 30 minutes from Newark International Airport (EWR) and 25 miles from New York City. It is an easy train or bus ride away. The city lies at the crossroads of many major roadways including Interstates 80, 280 and 287, U.S. Routes 46 and 202, New Jersey Routes 10 and 53, as well as County Route 511.

Chief among large venues in the Parsippany area is the New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center in Edison, NJ, which has more than 150,000 square feet of exhibit space.

There is no lack of hotel venues in Parsippany and beyond; the largest offering meeting space include the Sheraton Parsippany Hotel, the Embassy Suites Parsippany, the Hotel Sierra, the Parsippany Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites and the Hilton Parsippany.

First-rate dining venues in Parsippany abound; area restaurants feature cuisines from around the globe. There is Chand Palace, LongHorn Steakhouse, Jester's Court, Ruth's Chris Steak House, and Eccola Italian Bistro, to name just a few.

Nearby special event venues include The Knoll Country Club, Fairfield Manor's Velvet Lounge and The Manor, West Orange. If a group has time for a breath of fresh air or a taste of history and culture, arrange a visit to Morristown National Historical Park and Florham Park, both only six miles away.

There are about 350 public golf courses within 30 miles of Parsippany. One of the best courses in the state is right in town – the Knoll Golf facility, which consists of two 18-hole golf courses, the Knoll East and Knoll West. The Knoll Golf Club West, established in 1929, is a champion course designed by Charles H. Banks. The Knoll East Golf Club, established in 1961, was designed by Hal Purdy. For the shoppers in the group, the legendary Short Hills Mall, featuring all the major retailers, is just 15 miles away.
