The craft brew trail is a great option for delegates to wander about and enjoy on their own: we have self guided maps to provide to event planners. Looking for a fun, unique off-site event space? 2 of breweries have large spaces to offer. Brew tasting, delicious catering options and even tours are available. Okanagan Fest of Ale, one of BC’s premier and long-standing craft beer festivals, Penticton Oktoberfest and the Penticton Beer Run. In fact, craft beer has become so popular here that expedia.ca recognized Penticton as Canada’s Craft Beer Capital! We have some of BC’s oldest craft breweries and the first carbon neutral brewery in BC.

Outdoor Adventure

From mountain biking to rock climbing to kayaking, Penticton is an outdoor adventure mecca, offering some of the purest adventure pursuits within the Okanagan Valley. Local operators can provide equipment rentals, shuttles, tours, expert instructors and everything else needed for an epic outdoor adventure. Winter offers different adventures with Apex Mountain Resort about 30 minutes from Penticton and Nickle Plate Nordic Centre about 30 to 40 minutes away.

Kettle Valley Railway Trail

Kettle Valley Railway (KVR) Trail is a perfect off-site activity! Walk or cycle individually - bike and E-Bike rentals are easily available or organize a guided E-Bike group tour. Adventure tour companies offer various packages dependent on requirements. Booking groups in advance is recommended. Enjoy spectacular scenery and local wildlife on this abandoned railway bed that’s a multi-use corridor and part of the Trans Canada Trail. Travel through alpine meadows, forests, tunnels, lake vistas, vineyards, orchards, trestle and desert to the valley floor.

Float the Channel

Coming early or staying late? One of Penticton’s top bucket list items is to float down the river channel on a sunny summer afternoon. Coyote Cruises offers inner tube rentals and shuttle transport back to the starting point, so you can enjoy a leisurely ride down the 7 kilometer long channel that connects the beautiful Okanagan Lake to Skaha Lake. It’s a summertime event you don’t want to miss, so slap on some sunscreen and spend a few hours leisurely drifting the cool waters of the Penticton channel. On top of the picturesque views, you’re sure to make friends along the way!
