Located in the picturesque mid-south region of Arkansas, Pine Bluff is surrounded by the scenic pine trees after which it is named. As the seventh-most populous city in the state and a hub for industry and trade, Pine Bluff is also known by many as the capital of southeast Arkansas. Pine Bluff's recently revitalized downtown is brimming with historical landmarks and captivating museums that double as great special event venues. Among the many Pine Bluff event venues are galleries and exhibitions that explore the art and life of Arkansas and the South; these include the 22,000-square-foot Arkansas Arts & Science Center, which has four galleries, a 232-seat theater and classrooms for private event rental. The Pine Bluff/Jefferson County Historical Museum is home to Civil War artifacts, Victorian furniture and antique farming tools, making it a unique backdrop for meetings, dinners and ceremonies. The museum's 11,600-square-foot Brick Room can host 50 seated guests or up to 70 guests for receptions.
Since the city is known for its recreational opportunities (even being tagged the "Bass Capital of the World"), it wouldn't be right to visit Pine Bluff and not enjoy its scenery.
