Prague, Czech Republic Meeting Planning Overview

Known as the city of 100 spires (but containing nearly 1,000 of them), Prague is the type of destination where one walks along imagining fairy tales taking place around the corner. The former seat of two Holy Roman Emperors and once capital of the former kingdom of Bohemia and, most recently, the state of Czechoslovakia, Prague today is the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic. Vaclav Havel Airport Prague serves as the main airport in Prague. Located six miles west of the city center, the airport accommodates flights to and from Europe and North America. The city's transport system is used to great extent by the residents of Prague, so getting around this city is easy. Metro, bus, and tram service shuttles visitors and residents alike in and around the city, and to many of Prague's top attractions and meeting venues.

The city's largest event venue, the Prague Congress Centre spans 140,000 square feet of meeting space with 20 halls and 50 rooms with capacities from 20 to 2,764 delegates and a total accommodation of 9,300 delegates. The Prague Congress Centre also features panoramic views of the city, onsite accommodations, a business center, and such landmark spaces as the Congress Hall, which ranks among the best concert halls in the world.

After meetings, delegates can tour Prague's many historic buildings, attend a show at its renowned theaters, unwind at its gardens and parks, or savor Michelin-starred cuisine.
