The ancient fishermen hamlet of Pudukkupam established during the Chola period (IX-XII century) is located 10 km south of Pondicherry city, in the Coromandel coast of the Bay of Bengal. In a park of 3 hectares of tropical gardens, the buildings are traditional Tamil style with ancient sculptured granite pillars and teakwood columns. Two blocks of buildings offer 37 a/c rooms, each one with a private balcony and a different decoration.
