Meliá Cabo Real is named once again one of the “Top 20 Resorts in Mexico” and one of the “2011 Top 500 World’s Best Hotels” by Travel + Leisure.
Meliá Cabo Real was recently included and for the second consecutive year in the official list of the 2011 World’s Best awards, by Travel + Leisure. The method for selecting the winners is through an evaluation made by readers of Travel + Leisure, where they rate their experiences of staying at the hotel.
Readers were invited to participate through Travel + Leisure magazine and online at TravelandLeisure.com. Respondents were asked to rate hotels in this case on five characteristics: rooms/facilities, location, service, restaurants/food, value. Required component ratings were then averaged, creating an overall score. A minimum number of responses were necessary for a candidate to be eligible for inclusion in the World’s Best Awards listings and Melia Cabo Real made it once again!
Meliá Cabo Real Receives MLT Vacations 2011 Quality Assurance Award
Meliá Cabo Real received the 2011 MLT Vacations Quality Assurance Award presented at MLT University in St. Paul, Minnesota on October 2, 2011.

Meliá Cabo Real has demonstrated exemplary operational consistency and top-notch quality standards for MLT Vacations and its Delta Vacations, Continental Airlines Vacations, United Vacations and Worry-Free Vacations customers.”
The Quality Assurance Award recognizes qualifying hotels in Mexico, the Caribbean, Latin America, and the United States. For the 2011 award, results were measured against the experiences of more than 500,000 customers who traveled with Delta Vacations’, Continental Airlines Vacations, United Vacations and Worry-Free Vacations from the U.S. and Canada.
Out of the more than 2,300 hotels offered by MLT Vacations in Mexico, the Caribbean, Latin America, Hawaii, Florida, Las Vegas and the rest of the U.S., only 193 qualified to receive the MLT Vacations Quality Assurance Award designation for 2011.
Cristal Check Safety First 2011
Meliá Cabo Real is proud recipient of the Cristal certification from Check Safety First Ltd, a consultancy company specialized in applying quality standards in food processes to guarantee hygiene.
Cancellation Policy
FORCE MAJEURE: The parties’ performance under this Agreement is subject to acts of God, war, government regulation, terrorism, disaster, strikes (except those involving the Hotel’s employees or agents), civil disorder, or any other emergency beyond the parties’ control, making it inadvisable, illegal or impossible to perform their obligations under this Agreement. Either party may cancel this Agreement for any one or more of such reasons upon written notice to the other.
If the Group wishes to terminate this agreement for reasons other than those set forth above, it may do so, however will be required to pay a fee as outlined below:
a) Between the signing date of this contract and 121 days, the hotel will retain the initial deposit.
b) Between 120-91 days, the hotel will charge 40% of estimated room package revenue (unless rooms are resold, except initial deposit).
c) Between 90-61 days, the hotel will charge 80% of estimated room package revenue (unless rooms are resold, except initial deposit).
d) Between 60-31 days, the hotel will charge 90% of estimated room package revenue (unless rooms are resold, except initial deposit).
e) Full cancellation within 30 days of arrival, the hotel will charge 100% of the estimated room revenue generated by the group (unless rooms are resold, except initial deposit).
In the unlikely event that the program cancels, all deposits received will be retained. Every reasonable effort will be exercised to resell any and all space made available as a result of cancellation. At your request, following the scheduled date of departure, we will review our actual occupancy figures for the original dates contracted.
